Learn the principles of the Japanese technique of Nuno Felting.  This is where woollen fibres attach themselves to a piece of fabric, with agitation and the use of soap and water.

You will begin the day by making a small sample and learning how the fibres react to the process.  You will then have some knowledge to discuss your design ideas and colour preferences.  You can create your own design or follow the tutor's ongoing example through the session.

You will then apply unspun wool fibres to a scarf length piece of silk (supplied) You will continue to develop your design ideas and create your scarf with edging techniques for a professional finish. When you are ready you will apply the soap and water solution and rub and roll the scarf until the wool is firmly attached.
This day involves a lot of physical activity including standing and rolling.
If you have physical difficulties please talk to us about how we can support you!
